The winner of the $25 Best Buy gift card for submitting a nomination for the month of January is Mrs. Zamora from Excelsior Language Academy. Congratulations! Another drawing for a $25 gift card to Applebee’s will be held for the month of February. You must submit a nomination by Monday, February 20th at 5 p.m. and must meet the minimum criteria to be eligible. Good luck!

The next DTRT ONLINE nomination deadline is Monday, February 20th by 5 p.m. (whenever the 20th falls on a weekend, the deadline is the Friday prior by 5 p.m.)

DO THE RIGHT THING…AND SPREAD THE NEWS!

The purpose of Do The Right Thing of Miami, Inc. (DTRT) is to recognize and reward Miami youth for their exemplary behavior, accomplishments and good deeds. The DTRT Awards Program distinguishes exceptional school-age children who choose to be drug and crime free, exhibit non-violent behavior, do well in school, make a difference in their communities and demonstrate turnaround behavior. Each month of the school year, parents, police officers, teachers and other adults nominate up to 1,000 children for “doing the right thing.” A selection committee reviews the nominations and selects ten finalists for the month.
