On November 4th Kevin saw a threat on social media about a school shooting scheduled for the next day at noon at his school. He immediately reported to Officer Gonzalez who then contacted the proper authorities. Kevin gave valuable information that assisted in helping authorities realize the post was old information that kept being copied and reposted. Many students saw these posts and warned others on social media but Kevin went above & beyond to make sure something was done by law enforcement. He spent several hours searching to see if he could figure out where the post originated and followed up with Officer Gonzalez. It was very courageous of Kevin to take action. He saw something and said something which is vital in today’s climate. Kevin’s actions not only helped clarify the situation but he also helped give peace of mind to many of his peers at his school. In addition to being brave, Kevin is a very smart and reliable young man at all times who can be counted upon to do the right thing.
