Rayanah Gibson

Rayanah is her school’s first third grade safety patrol officer and she
takes her role with the utmost seriousness. She is always assisting
others whether it be helping children walk safely, assisting a teacher
on crutches by carrying boxes to the classroom, locating important
papers for the P.E. Coach, or arranging letters on the school’s
marquee. At home, Rayanah’s mom works long hours so Rayanah
takes it upon herself to learn how to cook simple meals to help out.
This past Christmas, she helped pass out hot meals with a nonprofit
organization to assist the elderly. Recently, she became a hero to her
family by performing the Heimlich maneuver on her baby sister who
was choking on candy. In the future she would like to be in law
enforcement like her uncle and aunt in the Miami Police Department
or her grandmother who is a Corrections Officer. Rayanah has a
passion for keeping others safe and strives to do the right thing every
day.
