Samantha Pina
Eighth Grade, Hialeah Gardens Middle
During her early middle school years, Samantha faced challenges due to poor decisions which led to academic struggles. Despite these setbacks, Samantha has decided to turn her life around and has demonstrated resilience, determination, and a commitment to positive change. She is now part of the Honor Roll and is actively engaged in various clubs such as Character Counts, SWAT Club, and serving as a Peer Counselor. Samantha’s involvement in these clubs demonstrates her commitment to personal growth and a desire to contribute positively to her school environment. Notably, Samantha initiated and successfully executed a service project called “Sami’s Quack of Kindness Movement” which involved attaching kindness action notes to little yellow ducks which were then scattered throughout the school. The goal was to bring joy and positivity to teachers and students, fostering a sense of unity and kindness within the school community. Samantha’s leadership in organizing and implementing her project highlights her newfound commitment to making a positive impact on those around her. From challenges to triumphs, Samantha’s journey is an inspiration to us all.
