Samuel and Robert approached their School Resource Officer with urgency as they reported that their friend had confided in them that he had a plan to harm himself. Instead of ignoring or waiting to see what would happen, they took the situation serious and were concerned that their friend would go through with his plan. As such, they knew they needed to seek help as soon as possible. Upon reporting the situation to school police and school administration, the situation was addressed appropriately and the student in crisis was able to receive the immediate help he needed. Thanks to Samuel and Robert’s quick actions, a life was saved.
