Hello DTRT Coordinators!
Please see below for the following reminders and updates for the Do The Right Thing Program for the month of February.
January Nominations:
-The January nominations have already been sent out to the school mail facility and you should be receiving your box in the next upcoming weeks. Please keep in mind that school mail is short staff but they are working hard to ensure that you receive your box as quickly as possible.
-Please note that if you are a charter school you have to pick up your box at the school mail facility which is located at 7001 SW 4th Street Miami, FL 33144.
DTRT Coordinator Spotlight:
We are looking to recognize our hard-working DTRT Coordinators on our social media! If you’d like to be recognized as DTRT Coordinator please email us:
-a photo of you
-how long you’ve been a DTRT Coordinator
-quick blurb/quote on the impact DTRT has on your school.
Top Ten Nomination Tip:
-To help your school earn a Do The Right Thing Top 10 Winner, submit a concise nomination that clearly explains what the student did, how they showed initiative or growth, and the meaningful impact their actions had on others, using specific examples that show why it mattered. While all nominated students are rewarded, nominations with clear, detailed impact have the best chance of being selected, and any potentially sensitive information is kept confidential unless consent is given.

Please make sure to follow the guidelines below when submitting nominations:
- All nominations must be at least 4 sentences.
- Each school is allowed 15 nominations per month.
- Please double check the names of the students when completing the form.
- Each student must have their own unique nomination unless it is a specific action done by a group.
- Students can only be nominated once per year.
- You should be receiving an email copy of each nomination submitted for your records. Please make sure to check the junk/spam folder as some copies might be going there instead of your inbox. If you’d like to check your nominations submitted for any month, please call our office 305-603-6957.
