A’Naijha Dejesus

A’Naijha alerted her teacher that a physical altercation had broken out in the stairwell. She was worried that the students involved might get hurt and knew she needed to talk to an adult to intervene immediately. Upon her report, the teacher alerted security and the students involved faced the appropriate consequences. A’Naijha was also instrumental with identifying the students involved and making sure they received the appropriate interventions. While most students these days act as bystanders recording fights on their cell phones, A’Naijha did the right thing to make sure the situation was deescalated and a tragedy averted.
