Khanari Perriman

Recently, Khanari came upon a classmate who was smoking in the bathroom. Initially, Khanari confronted the classmate about this negative activity but he was not responsive. Worried about the outcome of this student’s decisions and his health, Khanari decided to report the incident to a teacher. The student was found in possession of a vape device and appropriate interventions were taken by the school’s administration. If Khanari had not acted, this student could have continued on an unhealthy and possibly life-threatening path. As a result of the incident, school administration implemented group lessons on the dangers of vaping, even at the elementary school level. Khanari was alert, proactive, and took initiative to ensure his peers remained in a safe and healthy school environment.
