Kimberly demonstrated remarkable courage, compassion, and maturity during an incident that took place on a recent morning before school. As she was arriving on campus, Kimberly witnessed a boy physically assaulting a girl and placing her in a chokehold. Noticing the girl’s fear, Kimberly immediately stepped in to intervene. She calmly approached the boy and told him to stop and ensured the situation was de-escalated. Later that day, when school administrators learned about the incident, Kimberly provided a clear and honest statement. She also helped identify the students involved so that the issue could be addressed appropriately and safely. Her willingness to act, coupled with her honesty and cooperation, exemplifies true leadership and integrity, exceptional qualities in someone so young. Kimberly is an Honor Roll student widely known for her kindness, generosity, and positive attitude. Beyond her academics, Kimberly enjoys being creative and is known to gift students and staff handmade items that brighten their day. Kimberly is also on the autism spectrum, a part of her identity she embraces with confidence and pride. Her uniqueness is one of her strengths, and she serves as a powerful, positive role model for her peers, especially those who may need encouragement in embracing their own differences.
