January Nominations:
The January nominations have been sent out to the school mail facility and you should be receiving them in the next upcoming weeks. Please note that if you are a charter school you have to pick up your box at the school mail facility which is located at 7001 SW 4th Street Miami, FL 33144.
Do The Right Thing Poster Drawing Winner:
Congratulations to Vivian Morales from Mater Academy Kiwanis for being the winner! Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Do The Right Thing Poster Drawing. We hope that our new poster will continue to encourage students to do the right thing.
Do The Right Thing Angel Calzadilla Police Academy Scholarship:
The Do The Right Thing Program is in search of young adults between the ages of 18-22 interested in serving the community as police officers. Current high school seniors are eligible to apply. Do The Right Thing awards the scholarship to one young adult annually to cover tuition up to $6,100 to attend the Miami Police Academy. Applications will be accepted until Monday, February 26, 2024. Please make sure to follow the guidelines below when submitting nominations:
- All nominations must be at least 4 sentences.
- Each school is allowed 15 nominations per month.
- Please double check the names of the students when completing the form.
- Each student must have their own unique nomination unless it is a specific action done by a group.
- Students can only be nominated once per year.
- You should be receiving a copy of each nomination submitted for your records. Please make sure to check the junk/spam folder as some copies might be going there instead of your inbox.
