Alexandra Alguino

Eighth Grade, Caribbean K-8

Alexandra came to see the counselor to report that a student had a notebook with a kill list. In this manifesto, it said how the child was going to kill these children and a why he was doing it. Many students saw this notebook and did not report the incident as they were scared to come forward and say something. Alexandra stood alone and was brave enough to step forward and the student in question was taken to get help. There could have been a very different ending to this story but Alexandra decided to intervene, preventing what could have been a terrible tragedy.  The police, administration, and the counselor are very grateful for her heroic action.
