Alexis Matalobos

Recently, Alexis demonstrated exceptional maturity, leadership, and courage when he became aware of a potential altercation involving his close friend. A group of students had planned to jump his friend over a conflict involving a girl. Rather than encouraging retaliation, Alexis chose the path of peace. When his friend asked for help to fight back, Alexis calmly and wisely talked him down, explaining the serious consequences such as suspension, missing out on 8th-grade activities, and the risk of someone getting hurt. By the time they arrived at school, Alexis had already convinced his friend to report the situation to administration and personally accompanied his friend to ensure the issue was addressed properly and safely. Thanks to Alexis’s quick thinking and ability to de-escalate the situation, a potentially dangerous fight was completely averted. Alexis’s actions are a reflection of his character and values, consistently demonstrating resilience and determination. He is a standout Honor Roll student and a role model in his school community. Despite facing challenges at home, Alexis remains grounded and focused, supported by his mother and older brother. His latest initiative, Alcudia Auto Revival, is a small car detailing business he started with his brother to help support his family. Alexis is a young man of integrity, compassion, and ambition, dedicated to doing the right thing and leading by example.
