Ashly Ruel

Despite facing overwhelming challenges in her life, Ashly has not only transformed her own behavior but has also taken on the inspiring role of helping others. Unfortunately, Ashly lost her mother at a young age and endured difficult and unstable circumstances while growing up which resulted in behavioral issues throughout her earlier years. Despite concern that she would continue on a negative path, Ashly made a promise that she would change, a promise that she has kept. Since joining her new school, Ashly enters class each day with a positive attitude and a determination to succeed by following directions, completing her schoolwork, and engaging positively with her peers. This transformation alone is inspiring, but what truly makes Ashly stand out is her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. As vaping has become a concerning trend among youth, Ashly has taken a strong stance against drug use and recently helped a friend overcome her vape habit by guiding her towards healthier coping mechanisms and offering encouragement and emotional support. Ashly’s journey is one of resilience, growth, and redemption, choosing to not only turn her own life around, but also become a guiding light for others.
