Brandon Gomez
Second Grade, Colonial Drive Elementary
Rapids Waterpark Trip Winner
Brandon will someday follow in his mom and dad’s footsteps and become a great police officer. He is always looking to help others and assist in any way he can. Recently, two students were having a verbal argument that was about to become physical. Brandon immediately intervened and asked the students to stop, then ran to get his teacher. He also notified his teacher of vandalism in the boy’s restroom and the students were disciplined for their involvement. Brandon always displays compassion towards his classmates and teachers, donating snacks purchased from his own money to his after school tutoring class, in addition to helping struggling students who need extra assistance. He is a responsible student, recently achieving awards in Academics, Attendance and Citizenship at his school. At home, he helps with chores and cares for his dogs, making sure they are walked and fed. Brandon is an all-around great student who strives to do the right thing both in and out of class.
