Cameron McLane
Kindergarten, Johnnie M. Parris/Colonial Drive Elementary
Recently during lunch, a student brought out a bullet to show Cameron. Cameron told the student he would notify his teacher. The student then threatened to throw the bullet at Cameron’s eye. Instinctively, Cameron took the bullet from the student and notified the security monitor. School police was contacted and interviewed Cameron and the student was dealt with accordingly. Cameron is a stand up student in his Kindergarten class, always offering to help his classmates and teacher. At home, he is instrumental in assisting his father, who has limited mobility, with his physical therapy and anything he may need. He is also an active student who plays flag football and basketball at the park and is learning to play drums at church on Sundays. In the future, Cameron aspires to become a police officer and continue doing the right thing.
