Ceondra Gaskin

Eighth Grade, John F. Kennedy Middle School

Ceondra saw a classmate showing other classmates what looked like a
gun from his book bag. She immediately located the School Resource
Officer and reported what she saw. When the officer thanked her for
reporting, she replied, “I did what you told us to do at the orientation
meeting, “if I see something, I say something”. Upon investigation, it
was found that the student was in possession of a pellet gun; which is
still against school policy. By following the “See Something, Say
Something” campaign, Ceondra is helping promote a safe school
environment.
