Dany Lopez
Third Grade, Somerset Oaks Academy
Dany is new to his school and despite previous academic struggles and
the uncertainty of starting in a new environment, he has managed to
make many new friends and is showing progress academiaclly.
Recently, Dany asked for permission to go the bathroom and while he
was there he witnessed two middle school children physically
assaulting a 4th grade student. Upon witnessing the scene, Dany froze
at the moment but then immediately sought help. School
administration was able to locate the victim and an investigation was
launched to find the middle school offenders. Instead of being a
bystander, Dany showed care for his fellow classmate and did the
right thing by reporting a bullying situation.
