Delany Saavedra

Delany recently faced the terrible tragedy of losing her mother. Despite dealing with such a loss, her strength and courage is inspiring and she has set an incredible example for her younger sisters. She still manages to come to class every day with a smile on her face and a helping hand already outstretched. Even as a new student at her school she is always aware of others and their needs and goes out of her way to include everyone and make sure everyone is ok, has a voice, and feels welcome. Despite the personal struggles she endures as a result of such a big loss, she is always focused on helping her peers in whatever way she can. Delany is a straight A Honor Roll student and makes sure to help out at home as well as at school. We know Delany will continue doing the right thing.
