Dominic Rosales

Dominic is respectful, tenacious, and resilient. In October, the roof of the apartment where Dominic and her family were staying caved in and they have been forced to live in a hotel since. Despite this adversity, this is no obstacle for Dominic on her path to success. Although school does not start until 9:00am, Dominic arrives every morning by 7:00am. Since she doesn’t have access to reliable internet at the hotel, she uses this time to complete all her computer based assignments. Her effort is reflected in her good grades and her attendance. Dominic is an example of a student who is not using her situation as an excuse; but instead striving to succeed despite the circumstances.
