Rapids Waterpark Trip Winner
During class, Egypt noticed that one of her classmates was typing a very concerning message related to self-harm and was also acting in an unusual manner. Egypt also observed that the student was attempting to harm themselves with a pencil. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, Egypt immediately became concerned for her classmate’s safety and took responsible action by reporting what she saw to her teacher and school counselor. Because of Egypt’s bravery, awareness, and quick response, staff were able to intervene and ensure that the student received help and remained safe. Egypt demonstrated exceptional empathy, responsibility, and courage—setting a powerful example of what it means to do the right thing.
