Elias Green
First Grade, Colonial Drive Elementary
Rapids Waterpark Trip Winner
At his young age, Elias has had to endure very difficult circumstances as he moved through the foster care system. However, Elias is now with a loving and supportive family who is committed to his wellbeing. He always wants to help at home and at school and even though he began school amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and had not been with other children, he was very excited to start school and make new friends. Elias is very quiet, polite and prays in the cafeteria when he receives his meals. He always looks for the good in others with his teacher recalling a time when he was being bullied by another student but he was more concerned about getting the other student in trouble. Elias now has true friends that look out for him as he does the same for them. He recently came to the aid of a student who was hurt and bleeding by helping him into a chair and notifying his teacher. Elias pushes himself to do the best he can and will always offer a helping hand to anyone in need. For overcoming hardship and maintaining a positive attitude come what may, Elias is a true Do The Right Thing Winner.
