Washington, D.C. Trip Winner
Elle demonstrates remarkable strength, resilience, and academic excellence. Prior to a life-altering event, Elle was a passionate and dedicated dancer, actively involved in school activities and known for her joyful spirit and commitment to her craft. In June of last year, Elle suffered a spinal stroke that left her paralyzed, unable to walk or use her hands. What followed were months filled with immense challenges—medical complications, surgeries, and extended hospital stays. Despite these physical and emotional hurdles, Elle has remained unwavering in her determination and positivity. She has approached every obstacle with incredible courage and perseverance. She continues to participate in intensive therapies and through her strength and hard work, has maintained straight A’s, demonstrating not only intellectual strength but also incredible discipline and commitment to her education. Elle is more than just a student—she is a shining light in her school community. Her resilience, grace, and positivity serve as an inspiration to us all.
