Gabrielle Abrams

Twelfth Grade, Booker T. Washington Senior High

Gabrielle is a phenomenal student who promotes the well-being of individuals in her community. She currently has a 4.1 weighted Grade Point Average while taking a variety of Advanced Placement, Honors, and Dual Enrollment Classes. She is a leader and participates in a variety of extra-curricular activities, such as being the President of the National Honor Society, an Achieve Intern, Vice-President of the Black Student Union, a Member of the Health Information Program, Inspire U, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Tornado Scholars, and is a Dancer. She strongly believes in giving back to her community and organized a food drive to stock up the Overtown Refrigerator/Pantry for the homeless in the neighborhood. She continues to find creative ways to collect food items to help feed and nourish less fortunate individuals and has gone door to door to pass out information and spread awareness of helpful resources and programs that are available for people in the community. In addition, as an Intern with Public Schools 305 with the school board, she had the opportunity to speak about the importance of providing for students’ needs and making sure just decisions are made for the well-being of all. Gabrielle serves as an excellent role model who demonstrates passion for helping others and bettering our community.
