Ian Mendez

Ian, Enzo and Matthew were in the cafeteria talking to a student who is new to their class. During the course of the conversation, the new student started talking about how he killed 5 people in a video game and then proceeded to say he would kill a teacher with a knife and gun he had in his bookbag. There were more students in the conversation who heard what he said but only Ian, Enzo, and Matthew reported it right away to the teacher. Thankfully, a subsequent investigation revealed that there was no gun or knife in the student’s bookbag. At just 7 years old, Ian, Enzo, and Matthew knew they had to do the right thing and take action to prevent a potential tragedy and keep their school safe.
