On a recent morning, Isabella immediately intervened when a fellow student was attempting to initiate a fight with another student. Bella physically stopped the student, positioning herself in front of her and warning her of the consequences such as suspension from school and missing out on senior activities. She pleaded with her friend to calm down and attempted to mediate the conflict while a teacher intervened. Bella then convinced her friend to walk to the administrator’s office to report the confrontation between her friend and a male student. Despite being in a tough spot, Bella knew she had to deescalate the situation to keep her classmates safe.
