Isabella Sieres
Seventh Grade, Paul W. Bell Middle
Isabella is a student that has faced immense challenges and responsibilities far beyond her years. After losing her mother at a young age, Isabella’s resilience and compassion have shone through in everything she does. At a young age, Isabella was a caregiver for her mother, a big responsibility for a child but one she carried with love and grace. After her mother passed, Isabella moved in with her uncle, grandmother, and great-grandmother and despite her own grief, she became a supportive presence and caretaker for her elderly relatives. She continues to demonstrate maturity well beyond her years, taking on family responsibilities that many her age would find overwhelming. At school, Isabella is known for her caring nature and willingness to help others. One of her classmates confided in her that his family was struggling financially, and Isabella didn’t hesitate to act. With the money family members had gifted her on her birthday, Isabella took $100 to school and discreetly offered it to her friend. Though he initially tried to return it out of embarrassment, Isabella insisted that he keep it. Her selfless gesture reflects a deeply rooted empathy and an understanding of the importance of kindness and support. Isabella’s compassion extends to everyone she meets as she’s committed to ensuring that those around her feel appreciated and supported, something her mother taught her and she proudly carries as her legacy. Isabella’s story is one of compassion and resilience. She has turned the pain of her mother’s passing into a purpose, dedicating herself to making others feel loved and valued. Her experiences and her heart make her an inspiring example of selflessness, strength, and kindness, leaving a positive impact wherever she goes.
