Jasser Rodriguez

Recently, during afternoon dismissal, Jasser approached school administrators after getting on the bus and witnessing another student carrying a BB-gun in his backpack. The student was seen showing it off to other students on the bus. Despite other students witnessing a potentially dangerous situation, Jasser was the only student to bravely report the incident. While reporting the incident, Jasser mentioned he immediately recognized the urgency of the situation and knew he could not keep it a secret and had to tell an adult right away. Thanks to Jasser, the school’s support and administrative team were able to address the issue in the appropriate manner. Jasser followed the “See Something, Say Something” motto and did not hesitate to do the right thing to ensure the safety of his peers and school community.
