Ju’riyah Quinn

Ju’riyah is a student who displays good citizenship and loves coming to
school. Recently, she implemented the strategies taught to her by her
counselor, teacher and school resource officer in reference to seeing
something and saying something. A student in her class had shown her
that he had a gun in his bookbag. Ju’riyah did not hesitate and
immediately reported it to her teacher. The administration was notified
and it was discovered that the weapon was a toy gun. Many students
knew about the toy and it did appear to be a real gun, yet no other
students reported the situation. Ju’riyah displayed bravery and
leadership in knowing when to do the right thing when no one else did.
