Mannat Mittal
Twelfth Grade, Robert Morgan Senior High
Mannat exemplifies integrity, compassion, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to serving others—both locally and globally. As Co-founder and President of Diaspora in Dialogue, she organized a school supply drive collecting over 200 supplies for underprivileged children in India and established an international pen-pal program spanning five countries to foster cultural understanding among hundreds of students. Her leadership reflects not only initiative but genuine empathy and a desire to bridge communities. Her service extends deeply into our local community. As a member of the Vizcaya Teen Environmental Council, she founded a community food pantry serving more than 100 low-income families in Coconut Grove and led environmental clean-up initiatives to protect Biscayne Bay. In addition, Mannat serves as Regional Vice President for Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), where she leads over 2,500 members across 15 schools promoting service, leadership, and responsibility. She is also an intern at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the University of Miami Diabetes Research Institute, where she contributes to research focused on improving outcomes for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes. Whether tutoring classmates as President of Mu Alpha Theta, volunteering with Breakthrough Miami, or teaching dance to underprivileged youth in India, Mannat is true role model dedicated to serving others and making our world a better place.
