Melianni Terrero

Twelfth Grade, Hialeah Gardens High School

Melianni is a senior and has completed college courses while attending high school. This is a major accomplishment, for she will be the first person in her family to graduate high school and attend college. She will earn her degree within the top 5% of her class and with an excellent GPA. While she attends classes, Melianni holds a part time job, she’s an athletic trainer for the football team, is in various clubs, and volunteers for a variety of projects. When you see her, she is always smiling despite dealing with personal struggles that she tries not to let affect her life.  Unfortunately, one morning while driving to school she crashed into a parked semi-truck. Miraculously she came out unscathed even though her car was totaled.  Melianni still managed to make it to first period, albeit a little late.  She continues to show character beyond measure, and she doesn’t find excuses when she could easily do so. Melianni is an officer for HIP, Student Government, Real Talk and Athletic Training. She is passionate and works hard to reach her goal of becoming a doctor one day. Despite the personal struggles she faces, she does the right thing every single day.
