Sa’rrhia Upson

Diendra and Sa’rrhia received a text message from a student who
was experiencing severe emotional distress and suicidal ideations.
Recognizing the gravity of the issue, both students asked to speak
to the counselor urgently. Diendra and Sa’rrhia provided the
information to the counselor and immediate interventions were
put in place for the student in crisis. Despite both students being
concerned about violating their classmate’s trust and the potential
consequence of doing so, they knew it was of utmost importance to
get this student the help they needed. Despite the consequences,
Diendra and Sa’rrhia did the right thing and helped save a life.
