Shiloh West-Pallais
Eighth Grade, Frank C. Martin K-8
Shiloh has experienced social isolation within different environments and has often struggled to fit in, resulting in his acting out. While he still has room to grow, he has grown to love and accept his differences and has matured into the young man he is today. For the past two years, Shiloh has volunteered with Honor Flight South Florida preparing goodie bags for veterans and delivering them. Currently, he is working on his 8th grade community service project “Veterans Amongst Us” where he plans on honoring local veterans by telling their stories. He plans to interview local veterans and share their stories through a student created website and social media channels. Shiloh also loves the arts and enjoys animation. This past summer, he participated in the Adrienne Arts Ailey Camp Miami and went from being shy and isolated to learning to play the drums and even perform choreographic collaborative dance. At school, he is part of the Honor Roll and has received various acknowledgements. Through self-love, acceptance and civic responsibility, he is surely to go far.
