Sofia and Gianna recognized that their friend was in danger. Their friend was in an abusive relationship and was afraid to speak up as she did not want her boyfriend to get in trouble. Sofia and Gianna immediately recognized the seriousness of the matter and the importance of letting someone know and seeking help. The girls alerted her parents, the school, and the police. They knew the student was in a dangerous situation and didn’t know how to escape. Thanks to Sofia and Gianna advocating for their friend, the student received the proper assistance and guidance. These girls were incredibly brave and demonstrated true care, compassion, and friendship.
