Valerie Leyva

Valerie is a model student who is part of the band while also taking advanced level courses. She recently demonstrated extraordinary maturity, compassion, and courage. During one of her elective classes, she observed a young man behaving in an extremely inappropriate manner toward a younger female student. Without hesitation, Valerie approached the young girl to check on her well-being. After learning about the inappropriate comments and gestures being directed at the student, Valerie immediately took action and brought the student directly to the counselor for support. Thanks to Valerie’s quick thinking and responsible actions, immediate intervention was implemented involving school administration and school police. Her bravery helped ensure the safety and well-being of a fellow student, and her actions reflect the highest standards of integrity and leadership.
