March Nominations
You should have already received your February nominations. Please note: the school mail facility has alerted us that they are currently short-staffed so please be patient when waiting for your boxes. In addition, the March nominations are still being processed as we have a new Chief of Police and are working to update our materials accordingly. We will inform you of when to expect the March nominations. We thank you in advance for your patience.
DTRT “Police in the Community” Art Contest-Deadline to enter WEDNESDAY, 4/28
The theme of the contest is Police in the Community to show appreciation for all our police officers do for our community. Students are encouraged to use their creativity to produce an original drawing depicting police in the community. The drawings must be scanned and emailed to dtrtmiami@aol.com. Please see flyer below for more information.
Angel Calzadilla Scholarship-Applications due FRIDAY, 4/16
The Senior Police Executive Angel Calzadilla/DTRT Police Memorial Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who want to pursue a career in law enforcement at the Miami Police Training Center. April Nomination Deadline-Nominations due TUESDAY, 4/20
The deadline to submit nominations for April is Tuesday, 4/20. Please keep in mind the following when nominating:
-All nominations must be AT LEAST 4 sentences.
-Each school is allowed up to 15 nominations per month.
-Please double check the name of the students when completing the form.
-Each student must have their own unique nomination unless it is a specific action done by a group.
-Youth Large is our smallest t-shirt size, the rest are adult sizes. Youth Large is appropriate for most younger elementary students.
-Students can only be nominated once per year.
-If you are not sure that a nomination was submitted or experience any problems with the system, please call our office 305-603-6957.
