We want to thank everyone who nominated for the month of November. Thanks to all your hard work, we received over 800 students nominated last month! We hope to be able to reach 1,000 students a month doing the right thing this year!
November Box Drop Off:
The November prize boxes were dropped off at school mail THURSDAY 12/12/13. We requested that School Mail try to get them out before the holiday break but there are no guarantees.
PLEASE NOTE FOR NOVEMBER BOXES ONLY: Some of your boxes will come with shirts that are bigger than the size requested for your students. This is because we officially ran out of the orange shirts and were only able to fulfill this months nominations with what we had.
December Deadline:
There is only one week left to nominate for December! The deadline for December nominations is Friday 12/20 by 5 pm!
New T-shirts:
The newly designed DTRT shirts are here! Please expect them for the next round of nominations! If you ordered a shirt and sent your check in and received a confirmation email, your shirt was sent out through School Mail and should arrive to you along with your nominations. If you are interested in ordering one of our newly designed shirts to help out our program, please send an email to dtrtmiami@aol.com and place your order! Each shirt (adult S-XL) is only $10 and all proceeds go towards helping the program continue rewarding your kids! PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL BEGIN OFFERING SIZE YOUTH LARGE (YL) T-SHIRTS SOON FOR ALL THE LITTLE ONES OUT THERE! Look for this size on the form in the near future!
Rap It Up Contest:
Thank you to all those elementary and middle school students who participated in our “Rap It Up!” Contest. All students who submitted an entry will receive a certificate. Thank you also to those students who auditioned; they all did a great job! Good luck to those students who were chosen to attend the finals on Dec. 20th! Look for photos of the event on the website soon!
December Ceremony:
The ceremony for our November Top 10 Winners of the month will be on Thursday 12/19 at 10 a.m.. Read about what they did to become a Top 10 Winner on our website under “Awards Program”/Top 10 Winners!
December Pizza Party:
Congratulations to the three schools who were randomly chosen as the winner of the Papa John’s Random Pizza Party: Lorah Park ES, North Dade MS, and Miami MacArthur South. Every month we pick 3 schools randomly out of all nominating schools to win 5 large pizzas for their staff or nominees.
DTRT Presentations:
Executive Director Jodi Atkison has been out and about doing various school presentations. If you are interested in having her present to your faculty/staff about the program, please email/call us to schedule!
