Welcome to our new website! With our new site, we hope to make your online experience more pleasant and easier to navigate as well as hopefully reduce the technical difficulties we have been experiencing as of late.
October Nomination Deadline
The next nomination deadline is Friday October 18 by 5 pm! Every child nominated with a valid 4 sentence nomination is rewarded!
September Nominations
We would like to thank all those who took the time to participate and nominate students for the month of September. Even with some technical difficulties regarding the website, we received a great response and hope that your enthusiasm continues this month as well! We are currently processing all 700+ nominations we received for September. We ask for your patience in receiving them as we are only a staff of 2 at the program. We expect to be dropping the prize boxes off (which contain all the month’s nominations and each nominee’s prizes) at school mail by the end of next week. If you are a Coordinator who registered and submitted at least 1 valid nomination, you will also be receiving a DTRT T-shirt for you inside the box. Keep in mind that we will always send an email once we have dropped off the boxes at school mail to let you know when to expect them.
School Presentations
We are still open to come to any schools which would like the executive director to explain the program and its benefits at a faculty meeting to encourage nominations and participation. If you are interested, please contact us!
Facebook Drawing Winner!
Thank you to all those who participated in our Facebook poster/calendar drawing and posted their photos on our page. We randomly selected new DTRT Coordinator Ms. Sandra McGlynn from Palm Lakes Elementary as the winner and she will receive a $50 Visa gift card!
Random Pizza Party Winners!
Congratulations to the September Random Pizza Party Winners Archimedean Academy, Glades Middle, and Educational Alternative Outreach Program! They were randomly selected out of all nominating elementary, middle, and high schools for September and will receive 5 free large pizza’s from Papa John’s for their nominees or nominating staff! We will have another drawing next month!
ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS ONLY: “Rap It Up!” Contest
Please remember that the “Rap It Up!” contest is running the entire month of October. If you have any students who like to rap, make sure they enter! All entries are due in our office early November. For all information pertaining to this contest, please click on the “Rap It Up” tab under Projects.
